one on one
i’ve been into daryl hall and john oates recently. did you know that hall calls their masterpiece “she’s gone” the best song he and john ever wrote together? i find the motown sound blends well with daryl’s lovelorn voice. this coinciding with my viewing of cherish last night made for a pretty cool dream soundtrack. you know that part in “maneater” at 4:01 where daryl goes “thewomaniswildoooh” in one breath? yeah, that’s cool.
